My T4 has been operating flawlessly for years and suddenly tuners C and D have died.
I've searched the forum but a lot of the talk is way I've my head - I have no electronic knowledge or skills.
I'm wondering what my options are?
Can I buy 2 DVB-T2 tuners or can I just add usb tuners to the back of the unit to restore functionality?

Stop using it immediately and send it to Nasa Electronics In Sydney. They may be able to fix it if the corrosion is not too bad.
You can't buy new tuners but that's not the problem. It's the voltage regulators for the tuners that overheat and destroy the heatsink cement, which then corrodes the motherboard.
If you keep using it, the damage will become irreparable. It will not accept a USB tuner due to hardware/driver limitations and it is unlikely to last even if it did.
Grumpy_Geoff gives contact details for Nasa here: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=15166&p=200239&hil ... cs#p200239.
Edited to state that on test, the USB tuner is not recognized. This is true even if tuners C & D are disabled.
