IP Camera Plugins?
Hi all
Have any of you come across a plugin that you can view IP security cameras on the T3?

Re: IP Camera Plugins?
Installed OK and it's in English, thought it may be Dutch coming from a Dutch site.
Just have to set up one of the cameras.

Re: IP Camera Plugins?
Got another camera going, this is great!
Maybe this should be in the "Plugins" thread.
Good find Bob.

Bastard! I can't work out how to get this working for my camera. Have a Brickcom which has one listed in the list of supported cameras but no idea what to enter in the video field. Any tips?Fester1952 wrote:Got another camera going, this is great!

Re: IP Camera Plugins?
The only fields I had to change was the IP address, port number and username and password. I left all other fields. Mine are all Foscam cameras maybe yours need more info than mine.

Re: IP Camera Plugins?
Did it have the video field filled in by a preset? What do you have in this field?

Re: IP Camera Plugins?
The only mention of "video" is a field called "video-URL", I left that blank.

Re: IP Camera Plugins?
I tried that this evening and it worked but just for snap shots, not video. Guess I was being too diligent before!
That'll do. Like that you can quickly bring up the camera is a PIP. Might email my manufacturer and see if they can suggest a string that will feed video.

Re: IP Camera Plugins?
Bob, using Google translate and it seems for your camera you have to enter the RTSP (real time streaming protocol) address in that field.
I went to your cameras website and they say for RTSP "type in the URL rtsp://IP Camera’s IP Address/channel1. Then you can see the video streaming. E.g. rtsp://192.168.1.100/channel1" or channel 2.
Give that a shot.

Re: IP Camera Plugins?
Damn guys what if you cameras are not on the list?
It does not seem to have a Onvif compliant selection either

Re: IP Camera Plugins?
Thanks Fester! That's done the trick. I had tried rtsp://etc but didn't add the channel1 or 2. Channel 1 worked in the app but when using it with the PIP feature, the T3 complained about HD not supported with PIP, so I changed it to channel2 which I have set at VGA and we're cooking with gas!Fester1952 wrote: E.g. rtsp://192.168.1.100/channel1" or channel 2.

Interestingly, when I added my second camera with the same settings (except for it's details) and I got an error which I ignored. Saved and it worked. Now going back into the settings and test, the test works.
So message for anyone else, persist with your settings if you think they're right!
Re: IP Camera Plugins?
Yeah that sucks, I was surprised with I saw my manufacturer in the list. It only has the one camera listed but it seems the details are the same. Or perhaps that's why I get the initial error I mentioned above...glenncol wrote:Damn guys what if you cameras are not on the list?

I think pick some at random, well perhaps the better known manufacturers and try your luck. As I mentioned above, if you get an error on test, save anyway and see if it works. I had to use the second Authentication in URL option but enter my username and password when the 1st is selected.
Ignore the video field initially.
They're my tips that I can think of, good luck. It was a great thought you had so a shame you can't get it working. Have to say it is convenient, so try some more.
