T4 controlled by Samsung Remote

Hi,
This is more a question for a Samsung forum, but posting it here in case anyone with a Beyonwiz has solved.

I have a T4, with a very new Samsung TV.
Samsung advertise a “One Remote” feature, that their remote is meant to control other devices.
At one stage, it was controlling the channels on the T4. But the play/stop button. Didn’t work, so it was possible to start playing a recording but not stop/exit it.
Now it’s not controlling the Beyonwiz at all.
I know there are some settings for control over HDMI (CEC) I’ve tried changing a few of those without success.

Ideally I’d love to just use the Samsung remote for 95% of normal watching, and would like to hear if someone is doing this already.

I have found my Samsung TVs very flaky detecting connected devices and giving them different names.

Foxtel has been Telstra, Foxtel, Sky New Zealand and HDMI 1 - all in four days. Consequently, I don't hold much hope of getting it to work as you want.

I use Harmony remotes and they're superior but no longer being sold.

Looks like there are some on eBay. Not sure what the suppliers are like but it might be worth checking out.

I bought one of those second-hand. It is a basket case but I hope to repair it. Seller was apologetic but mine was not a great experience.
