Merlin music player.

Hi,
I was using the Merlin Music player, but then upgraded to V 19.3 on my U4. I don't seem to be able to find the plugin anymore.
Is it available for this firmware? Or is there an alternative?
The main feature I am looking for is to automatically play each track in turn.

Not on a U4 it doesn't.

I have used Merlin before so I'll have a look and report back.

Confirming it isn't listed any more as an option to install. Not sure when it disappeared or why?

Well that answers the when question (and how long since I have used it though it doesn't seem that long) so now - why?

Some plugin repos were dropped because of the unreliable software in them. Unfortunately that locked out a few genuinely good plugins.

Install it manually by downloading the package and its dependencies.
For a U4 -
merlinmusicplayer: http://feeds.beyonwiz.org/beyonwiz/17.5 ... t13000.ipk
python-mutagen: http://feeds.beyonwiz.org/beyonwiz/17.5 ... -vfpv4.ipk
python-sqlite3: http://feeds.beyonwiz.org/beyonwiz/17.5 ... -vfpv4.ipk

Copy them to somewhere that the U4 can see. Use File Commander to install them. Install python-mutagen and python-sqlite3 first, then enigma2-plugin-extensions-merlinmusicplayer
Then reboot.

There'll be an online update available for both python-mutagen and python-sqlite3 taking -
python-mutagen from v1.18 -> v1.37
and python-sqlite3 from v2.7.13 -> v2.7.15
So if you want to skip the online update then initially download those 19.3-series versions instead of the 17.5-series versions -

Merlin music player worked as expected.
To complete the story, I installed the 19.3 packages with the 17.5 music player. All good.
