Unable to scan for ABC HD

Post by PaulBrad » Tue Dec 06, 2016 23:11

On my T4 I am trying to scan to update the new ABC HD

On a Location scan with full scan I receive the following error

"ERROR - Failed to scan (error starting scan)

I tried a manual scan and also received the same error

How can I get around this to be able to fins the new ABC HD

Do you have a recording in progress?

It sounds as though the error message could be a bit more informative.

Even better, it could offer to stop a recording or abort the scan.

Hi,

Even better than better is to use a spare tuner, if available, to perform the scan. This is how AutoBouquetMaker works.

Ian.

No.

When you are scanning you are redefining the underlying service definitions. Having a recording in progress while doing this can only lead to undefined behaviour.
