Trouble uninstalling a Plugin

Post by Davejd6893 » Sat Oct 01, 2016 11:58

I'm am new to the T4. I installed a plugin named "OpenOpera HBBTV" .
It wasn't what I thought it was and attempted to uninstall it using the red button from the Plugin Browser, however no plugin named "OpenOpera HBBTV" appears in this list.
The plugin does appear in the list of installed plugins when you view the Plugin Browser.
Whilst the plugin doesn't appear to be causing any adverse issues, I would be happier if it wasn't installed.
I believe I could remove it by re-installing firmware via USB, but this seems a little extreme to me.
Can anyone assist with any ideas as to how this plugin might be able to be removed manually ?

This is my T4 firmware info from Open Webif
System OE: OE-Alliance 2.4
Distro: beyonwiz
Firmware version: 4.4.20160817
Driver date: 20160405
Kernel version: 3.14.2
Gui version: 2016-06-10

Have you tried a GUI restart? See if the plugin is then listed.

Thanks for the suggestion Grumpy_Geoff, however a GUI restart did not alter anything.
The OpenOpera HBBTV plugin is still in the installed list, but not in the remove list.

Reinstalling the firmware from USB is the only certain way to remove the plugin if it can't be removed from the plugin screens.

The Opera browser is installed by default and can be activated by presing the WEB remote button in live TV.
