T4 Won't recognise Share on Mac mini

I have a T4 which is on the same cabled network as my Mac mini. The Mac mini has a USB attached share full of media that I want to stream to the T4. I can ping the T4 from the Mac, I can mount the T4's "movie" share on the Mac desktop and I can transfer files to and from the T4 and the Mac. I can go into the networking section of the T4 and see a the share on the Mac and set it up as a mount, but when I go to the "media" control on the T4 remote and try to change the location to the share on the Mac (which is in the list), I get an error: Directory 'media/autofs/*directoryname*' does not exist.
Any thoughts?

Your Mac might not be providing a SMB2.1 compatible share.
Try editing the mount definition in the T4, and remove the vers=2.1 option.

If that doesn't work, try changing the mount type to fstab. Note that fstab is not the preferred mount type as it only mounts at boot.

If the Mac is not on when you boot the T4 the share will not be available. It will have to be manually loaded via the mount manager (or a script).

Thanks, I'll give that a go over the next couple of days. I have had it working before but had to run "SMBUp" to get the shares working. The Mac's now running Catalina and SMBUp is only a 32bit app so isn't an option anymore . . . .
