T2 or T4 as a music server

I have lots of music files on an external USB drive.
Can the T2 or T4 play MP3 and FLAC music files by default?
If not can I install codecs?
What would be the maximum bit rate for FLAC?

Panasonic TH-P65VT60A Plasma TV with 1tb USB drive attached. Set to record ABC every night.
Beyonwiz T4 3tb WD Purple >HDMI > HDFury3 > TV component. Set to record individual programs.
Sony Sound Base HT-XT3 for TV sound via ARC

Yes.

Not sure about maximum, but 24/192 works.
