Post by Wiz HQ » Wed May 14, 2014 18:21

This video give a brief introduction to the Web Interface on your Beyonwiz T3 PVR where you can log in remotely, control, set timers and even stream live TV.

You video shows the setup menus in the streaming window; when I open a stream on my PC the setup menu is not displayed on the stream.

How do I display the setup menu remotely on my PC like your video?

There's a couple of clues right at the start of the video which quickly disappear...

You'll see a button bar in the bottom left of the window in which the video appears and the title of the window is "AVer MediaCenter 3D".

This is not the T3 streaming video via WebIF, rather it seems an Avermedia video capture card is being used to record from one of the T3's outputs whilst the WebIF remote control is used.

Yes Chuckles is spot on. To run the demo's we just have a HDMI out from the T3 into a HDMI capture card and run AVer Media software to play the video, I then open OpenWebif and collapse it down just displaying the remote so that I can control the T3 in real time and finally I use Cam Studio to do the screen capture, that is why the background video is a little jumpy, it is the capture process.

Blast - been digging for this on the webif pages! Any special reason it's not? Really love the convenience the webif gives with setting timers but they're the old school dumb timers...

What about creating sub folders for recordings?

Not certain, but it may be because it's a plugin. It wasn't included by default in early beta firmware.

I never looked for that.

You can always use the on-screen remote to do anything you can do sitting in front of the TV (turn on Grab Screenshot under the remote so you can see what you're doing). It's clunky to use, though. When you're in familiar territory you can click ahead so that you don't have to wait for the screen refreash on every button press (I often click ahead 3-5 button presses).

Really like the auto timer feature, so it somewhat makes the webif EPG option a bit redundant because you can't actually use it as you want...might add it to the feature request section.

Good to know it's an option but not sure I'm going to use that extensively...

Worked out I can access the T3 drive directly by typing it's IP address into windows explorer and can add folders here.

yes you can.

If your streaming to a PC you can stream upto 6 or 8 channels fairly easily without negatively affecting the image, if you are streaming to a ipad or another tablet or phone, each stream effectively occupies one of your tuners from the receiver.

Hi there,
This is a good walkthru, thank you :)

I have tried to delete programs I have watched, I delete the recording however they are then in 'trash', I haven't figured out to permanently delete the recorded files from my T4, which is quite odd.

Cheers, in advance, thank you.

.
If you go into the trash and delete them again, then they will go forever.

Or you can wait, and the trash will be periodically emptied all by itself. Go to:
MEDIA->MENU->Settings->Remove items from trash after (days)

This is the number of days that a recordings needs to remain in the trash before the Wiz cleans it up by itself.
