Sucuri may be objecting to the contents of the post. Try posting it with the contents attached in a .txt file.

The way I do it is to cut out about half the post and see whether that previews, if it does, try previewing the other half. When you've established which half the error is in, halve it again, and keep drilling down until you've worked out which bit f the post it doesn't like.

Then go back to the original text, and break up the word that it objects to by using markup that does nothing.
e.g.

Code: Select all

[size=100]bad[/size]word

for badword, or

Code: Select all

[color=#000000]bad[/color]word

for a similar effect).

So, for example, use

Code: Select all

system[color=#000000]([/color])

to allow you to write
system()
without Sucuri getting upset, which it does otherwise.

It's tedious and annoying, but I can usually eventually get it to do what I need it to do.

G/Day Thanks for the message I would have no hope of doing what prl suggested but I will try and post Pieces of that doomed message in portions it should be interesting to know what the gremlin is?

You shouldn't mix in random questions into unrelated topics otherwise information gets lost. (It actually took me a moment to realise you weren't asking about a forum feature).

However, the answer is, that you can't with the standard skins.
IanSav's OverlayHD skin allows you to set the background opacity though.

I'd recommend that you get yourself sorted out with the basics though before mucking around with extra skins and plugins though.

I've only ever seen it called a "greater-than symbol". Chevron brackets are shallower than the greater/less symbols, and don't appear on the keyboard.
