External Hard Drive enclosures

Post by Jezz006 » Tue Mar 10, 2015 14:16

Greetings,

We've just learned that the main board on our DP-P2 has failed and are looking at taking out the 2TB hardrive and place it in an external Caddy,
to use on the replacement DP-P2 through the USB connection.

Just a couple of queries before I attempt this....

1. Is a USB 3.0 connection preferred/advisable, or are the USB 2.0 enclosures O.K for viewing/transferring files on the Beyonwiz.

2. Is it better to connect this Caddy through the rear USB port on the Beyonwiz, or through the front.

Yours in Appreciation,
