Only 9 timers

Post by allie181 » Tue Feb 21, 2017 20:27

I have a DP-Lite.

It has been recording fine until about a week ago. I didn't change anything, but all of a sudden it will now only allow 9 recordings to be scheduled at any one time. If I try and schedule more via icetv online, I get a timer failed email. If I try to select something in the guide on my tv, it won't acknowledge me pressing the record button. However, if I go into my timer list and manually delete one of the 9 scheduled recordings, and then go back to the guide and select a show to record, it will now acknowledge my pressing the record button.

I'm at an absolute loss as to what the issue is. There doesn't seem to be a way to limit the number of recordings either on my wiz or via icetv, so any ideas as to why suddenly I'm restricted to 9 recordings in my timer list?

Thanks!

This is the section of the forums for T series PVRs. A mod can move this post.

This is from memory, so I may be completely of the mark here.
I think there is a limit on the total number of timers that can be in the timet list.
It is possible for the DP series to build up a number of timers set in the past which never expire automatically. Check your timer list to see if the are a heap of old timers that never fired off properly.

Sorry about posting in the wrong area, I didn't realise.

I've deleted all timers that didn't shoot off, so there are literally only 9 visible.

Were there a lot of unfired timers? Have you given the Wiz a reboot after deleting all the unfired timers?

I've moved the topic but also wanted to check as you originally posted under IceTV, if you were using IceTV?

If so, what is showing on the website?
Cheers

Yes, the answer to that is covered in the first post.

It's possible that the timer list has been corrupted. You could try clearing the timer list (in the System>Initialise menu, not just deleting them one at a time) and getting IceTV to re-send all timers.
