Wizzot Pro

Post by cwiggles » Tue Jul 17, 2012 00:09

Just came accross references to a Wizzot Pro on akibaba.com

http://www.alibaba.com/product-free/124 ... T_Pro.html

Not sure if these are real or what but I thought some of you may be interested. Perhaps there is still some life in Beyonwiz afterall? Mind you I do not know how old this page is so this could be old news.

Seems a bit suspect. The picture looks like the old LiDiC box. Specs seem like those for the promised features for the t808 (aka WizOTT), which hasn't seen any firmware updates since December last year and in particular half of those promised features never materialised.

Those alibaba sites come up all the time when I'm searching the net for something, and they have never given me anything but red herrings. I wouldn't be surprised if it is just a search engine that throws together text with a picture that matches some similar search string, heaven only knows who gets anything useful off them, I only know it isn't me.
Cheers,
Brian

When I was trying to find a suitable HDMI switch for my setup, in some searches the results were made almost impossible to use because they were flooded by hits from alibaba.

In your Google search, just as you can use

Code: Select all

site:.com.au
to only include sites in the .com.au domain, you can similarly use

Code: Select all

-site:alibaba.com
to exclude any results from alibaba.com

I know that; just didn't think to use it, though for some searches I was just looking for information about products, so site:.com.au wasn't really what I wanted.

I guess we could just ask Jackie Park
I sent him a PM on this forum but he hasn't been here for years.
