BR-01 is very difficult to use,any way to reset this remote

Post by swipe » Sat Aug 30, 2014 21:11

Hi, I got this BR-01 with FV-L1 PVR, It is very difficult to use, Sometimes I hit the buttons, the buttons don't give any response. I have a programmable remote control which can learn from other remote control. I found that this BR-01 doesn't emit any IR-code signal, it looks like freeze in some way. It is not a battery issue, it can strangely go back to life after a while. Is there any way to reset this BR-01, thanks

From the DP-P2 Manual:

"The enclosed remote control (Product code: BR-02) is designed to
operate the DP-P2 only. To operate other Beyonwiz products of DP-S1,
DP-P1 and DP-H1, which are designed to be operated with a remote
control of BR-01, you have to change its operating mode; please press
and hold the numeric button 1 for 5~6 seconds while pressing the OK
button. The red backlight beneath the TV button blinks three-times if
the remote control changes its operating mode successfully.
If you want to return the operating mode of the remote control to
operate the DP-P2, please press and hold the numeric button 2 for 5~6
seconds while pressing the OK button. The red backlight beneath the
TV button blinks three-times if the remote control changes its operating
mode successfully."

Suggest you try both numeric button 1 while pressing the OK button, also numeric button 2 while pressing the OK button.

He doesn't have the BR-02 remote.
If the batteries are definitely good try this.
1. Does pressing remote buttons cause any activity on the BW's front display?
2. Use a digital camera to watch the front of the remote when pressing buttons. This should show any infra red activity.
If the remote is good, it could be a fault with the PVR's IR receiver - don't panic, it's fixable.

It is the remote BR-01 issue, the remote sometimes cannot emit any IR signal. when the remote doesn't work, I still can use my programmable remote to control PVR.
