Sluggish remote control fix

Post by desm » Sun Mar 07, 2010 18:05

The remote for my P1 had become a bit sluggish and then got to the point where any operation was like minor surgery along with a dose of good luck. Any action seemed to take a second or two to happen which verged on making the remote an expensive paperweight

A post in this forum referred to the possibility of humidity having an effect so I removed the batteries and blasted the inside of the remote with hot air from a hair dryer for two or three minutes and the problem was solved!

We've had a lot of rain in Brisbane over the last couple of weeks and obviously humidity has been high. So if your remote is a bit temperamental, give it a try, it's cheaper than a new remote!!

I had a similar problem with the BR-02 and it improved the situation. Environmental conditions were creating a high humidity environment and battery change did not fix the problem.
