Developed World Problem!

Post by netmask » Thu Sep 14, 2023 11:27

Not earth shattering important BUT!
I'm have the interior of my house painted so I've had to move into my standalone self contained Studio for a week or so.
I'm using my old T3 and an elderly Samsung (with 3D) to entertain myself.

Now I like to listen to the ABC digital stations and the T3 allows me to do that.
BUT, the fixed Beyonwiz screen is a tad bright and boring
Can one install a screensaver with changing images - can't do it on the 65" Samsung it's not quite intelligent for that.

Any suggestions?

Restore the screensaver:
  • open up /usr/share/enigma2/setup.xml;
  • you'll see a line with Show screensaver (line 59, bottom of the third page);
  • edit it and remove the trailing --> and leading <!--;
  • go to Setup > System > GUI settings > Show screensaver (middle of the second page).
Now after that time without activity the screen will dim and you'll get a moving Beyonwiz logo.
