EPG default channel

Post by Anders » Fri Mar 16, 2018 18:58

When I open the EPG it always positions itself at the first channel at the top of the page. Is there a setting to make it stay on the channel your were on before pressing the EPG button?

Cheers

The default settings for the EPG always open it with it showing the current channel on screen and the channel highlighted for me.

Thanks Peter. I'm using iceTV with the T2, could that make a difference to the default settings?

When in the EPG, press MENU, then scroll down to the second page and check that "Channel 1 at start" is set to "no"

The setting is called "Channel 1 at start" and it is disabled by default.

Press MENU whilst in the EPG to bring up the settings.

Sorry to bring this one up again but I have the same issue with my T4 at the moment. The EPG always goes to the 1st channel in the list. I've also checked it with different boquets and it makes no difference.

I have tried it with the "channel 1 at start" on and off and it makes no difference.

It has always worked correctly before but I did updtae my favourites boquet yesterday. Did I mess with something?

Any suggestions?

Switching "Channel 1 at start" on and off does exactly what I'd expect it to do when I switch it on and off. It doesn't even require me to exit and re-enter the EPG.

I tried it on a T4 running firmware version 20200405 and on a V2 running version 20200328.

What firmware version are you running? (MENU>Information>About>Revision) Are the T4 and T2 running the same versions?

If you have enabled "Always show bouquets", then the cursor will always highlight the first service in the bouquet when you select a bouquet.

With that setting disabled, pressing the FAV button will open the last used bouquet with the current service highlighted.

You are two major revisions behind in firmware.
It would be a good idea to install the latest 19.3 series firmware from USB, however, you will need to re-configure the Wiz from scratch again. You won't lose any recordings doing this...just settings (timers, plugins, etc).

Sounds like a good idea. I'll set aside some time to update. Where would I find this "Always show bouquets" setting?

When you have the channel list open, press MENU, then select Configuration...

Disabling the "Always show" setting will means that your channel list will open straight into the last used bouquet without first having to select which bouquet to open.
