Larger Text on T4

Is there a way to select larger text on the T Series?
For example displaying the list of recorded TV shows.
My wife loves the DP-P1 menus with the larger texts.
I am really struggling here to get the all important Wife Approval.

There, and in the EPG, yes, but only in the file list and the EPG grid area. The rest of the text is fixed by the skin.

In the Movie Player list, press menu and tweak "Number of rows" and "Font size" (the font size is relative to the normal font size).

In the graphical EPG there are similar settings. If you increase the font size in the EPG you may also want to decrease the Visible time period setting so that shows have more horizontal space to display their information.

You have to tweak the number of rows and font size together, they don't adjust to each other automatically

You could change some of the font sizes in those displays in the skin, but perhaps just tweaking what's available will be enough.

Don't panic, we've just finished breakfast !!
If you choose the metal looking skin, the list of recorded programs displays in a bigger nicer font, on our T2, anyway.
The rest, though you may have to follow PRL's suggestions.

Hi,

The OverlayHD skin also uses larger sized fonts throughout most of the UI.

While I think the main font in the Full-Metal-Wizard skin is more legible than the one in easy-skin-aus-hd, the respective text has the same total height in both skins in the Movie Player file list and the EPG grid. The one in "Metal" may use the space more effectively, though.

"Metal" is my preferred skin.

All solved with "Wife Approval".
Being ex Govt I should have been better at managing the change from DP-P1 to T4/T2 in the demanding home environment!
Changed Rows and Fonts only, for now.

Thanks Ian for the info on OverlayHD. Just been looking at what all this "skin" stuff is!

Hi Gary_T4,

I hope to also be adding the ability to change fonts, as well as colours, in a near future update to the OverlayHD. Given the nature of this beast I doubt I can offer many font alternatives. The font sizing causes unacceptable issues that a static skin can't address. The feature is, however, currently under test. If all goes well it will go into a production version of OverlayHD.
