Firmware 01.05.301 WizPnP enquiry

Hello

I'm thinking of revisiting 01.05.301 firmware to take advantage of EPG caching and NTP. Can anyone advise if there is a workaround to the H1 not seeing WizPnP content on P2 etc?

I've been waiting for a new firmware release but it doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon, so if I can get around the WizPnP issue I'll upgrade firmware again.

Whoops I should have read H1 forum not this one. Found answer.

I have an old 128MB USB memory stick. If I disable the time-shift buffer will I get that annoying pop up warning me the storage device is not big enough?

You have a duplicate thread right underneath this one. Can you delete it before someone replies to it?

I've deleted the duplicate and moved this to the H1 forum.

Too late. I already have, but Trial_Master already has the solution that I posted there.

Yes, IIRC if you don't have timeshift enabled and you don't try to do any recording, you don't get the annoying popups, but it's a while since I tried this as a workaround for the WizPnP-not-starting bug in the H1.

The bug is fixed in the current beta, 1.05.305. I don't know when the next public release will be, but it seems that using the thumb drive fixes both your issues :)

Everything is working well. I do get a pop up when turning on the H1 it complains that I only have 120MB free space but it disappears after a few seconds and a yellow Triangle remains on the front display panel. I have disabled Timeshift Buffer so I gather the memory stick is a little to small in capacity, with USB memory sticks being so cheap these days I might replace the 128MB one day to resolve that very minor annoyance. What size would eliminate the space error, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB???

Not exactly sure which size will resolve the error message but I did a fair bit of testing with 16G Flash Voyager GT's.

While they are one of the fastest USB sticks around I found it still was not enough to have really good timeshift or smooth video rewind etc etc in a HD stream. SD was ok.

Only real option was a USB Hard drive.

Hi

I don't want to Timeshift or Record on the H1 just get rid of the not enough free space pop up error. I did read about a suitable size some time back but do you think I can find the thread? :)

I think that 6GB is enough to stop the warnings.
