Depends, are you registering the drive as a recording drive on the unit? If so, this is a unique feature of the H1. But I would imagine "about" 500G might be the limit for a recording drive, although people have managed to get 1TB drives into their P1/S1s, so who knows really?
It only has a single tuner remember, so not quite the same cool features as the P1/S1/P2 in terms of streaming back to other devices for example. Are you really going to fill 500G in a hurry? I have had about 500G on my S1 for almost a year, and still haven't filled it (but have gotten close with 70G remaining a few times!)

Yes i am referring to USB drives for use as the main recording drive used by the H1
do you think that its the case that if i buy a drive over 500G then the H1 might not recognise it at all? or it will just recognise the first 500G?
I'd hate to buy a drive then have to downgrade to a smaller one...
does anyone know where i can find out what the "Official" Beyonwiz position on this aspect of the H1 is ? as the manual doesnt mention anything about a USB size limit. only that any usb 2.0 device is accepted as long as it draws less than 500mA.
