When it goes black, press the OK button on the remote. If you get the infobar, it just means you are not tuned to any service. If that is the case, press the MENU button and rescan to get a new set of services.

It depends on the .ts file. If there are discontinuities, it can take several seconds to parse. One of the simplest ways to check, is to repeatedly press the down button to highlight each recording in turn. Moving from file to file should take a fraction of a second. It would be fairly simple to plug in a usb thumb drive (on both units), do some recording (on the thumb drive) and then playback/skip. It should tell you straight away whether the issue is drive/unit related. Just keep in mind that many USB memory sticks are horrifically slow and may not be able to...

My guess is that someone deleted some of the metadata files (or somehow they became invalid) and the .ts files are being parsed during directory load.

Was your storage device formatted by the Beyonwiz? (If it is possible to read the contents of the HDD on a standard Windows PC or a Mac installation, then the HDD is not formatted correctly and could be the source of the problems.)

Re: Network browsers no longer displaying other T2s IP address.

The problem is with your network infrastructure. If your DHCP server assigns a different IP, the old mount definitions on your Beyonwizes will become invalid. You need to instruct your DHCP server to always assign the same IP address to each device. Usually this can be done by associating a specific...

I'm guessing here, but given the amount of effort that Pearce has put in, getting a working solution at this stage is probably more important than a $30-$50 savings on am RF amplifier that he probably won't need because the antenna installer will supply one as part of the package. When you get the installer in, you are looking for readings that will put Q: in the 95-100% range. S: can sit anywhere between 66-99%, but it should be steady. If S: moves up and down a lot, that indicates a problem. Basically you want high quality (so that there is no missing data) and constant sig...

It's unlikely there is anything wrong with your hardware, you just have an unsupported HDMI-IN audio format that causes the DSP firmware in the T4 SoC to lock up / crash.
