Re: Stream a video from an iMac to V2?
I have done some searches here but am unable to find the answer to my question. I have just got a new iMac and signed up for Netflix. I know that I can watch a downloaded movie (or video from my iMac) using a Google Chromecast dongle) but I was wondering if there was an easy way to send it to the V...

Do you use the EPGRefresh plugin? Or any other plugin that can create "fake" recordings that might not show up in the timers list? That being said, the EPGRefresh plugin itself should not interfere with timers, as it usually waits until tuners are free before scheduling a refresh within th...

Mr Quade, do you have a Shield Pro or a Shield tube? I am wondering if the difference in our experiences is due to the difference in our Shields. I have on occasion been tripped up by skin-specific differences in behaviour of Kodi. If you can indeed see the sub folder contents maybe it's because you are using a different skin from tyreless. Just the default confluence skin. My Kodi installs are basically fresh. I haven't had much of a use fo...

Re: V2 cannot see hdd contents & can't unmount
You need to unmount the disk before checking it. Probably best if you boot up the V2 without the HDD plugged in first. Plug it in, and then go to the main menu and select the "Simple Umount" option on the leftmost column. Unmount the harddisk, and then you should be able to run a check on ...

I am bemused that your shield shows subfolders from your T2, as I have the same setup. I had a quick go with Kodi 19.3 with the enigma2 PVR plugin running on an Nvidia Shield. Re: Firmware 19.3_20211010 update discussion
I don't use subfolders, but the movie directories of a T2 and U4 are available to me in Kodi through Add Network Location in the Add Videos dialogue. I would try that to see if the subfolders show up there. Mapping the BW movie directories will work regardless of which TV backend you use for Kodi. ...

Re: T2 empties trash in minutes despite setting it to 31 days
The only thing that might cause it is the reserving space for recordings. I do not recall changing it but will try something smaller. It is just that this automatic deletion occurs even if the file is just 1.5 GB in size. That'd be exactly what is causing it. You are asking the Wiz to keep 900GB fr...

Q-OLED is where things are heading in the short term. This technology uses a single colour OLED array to provide the light on a per-pixel level like normal OLED, but then uses the "Q" quantum dots to filter the light and losslessly produce the colour. You get increased brightness over an O...

I don't know whatever came of the project to develop an Enigma2 build for x86, but that would have opened up all sorts of home brewed PVRs.
