I'll chime in and say our WDTV Streaming Media Player has been pretty good. Wifi, Ethernet connections, can see our NAS and our PC's, has a Youtube player etc. We have the more expensive version, which in hindsight wasn't the best move as the cheaper model has been hacked to run alternative firmware...

Well done Luke and thanks for the heads up!

I did edit them on the BW but only top and tail, in hopes of making the transfers smaller. No worries I will try YARDWiz first and give you feedback.

I note that earlier in this thread it was posted that the files can just be concatenated and then renamed to TS so will try that too.

Hi Luke, I didn't realise there was a Mac version, I will definitely give that a try.

I transferred the recordings that I wanted last night by initiating the copy process from the BW to my NAS, but it has created folders for each one containing TVWIZ files.

Is there a way to convert those to TS?

WizMac for Mountain Lion?

Hi all, hope I'm not hijacking this thread (but it's certainly an old one!).

Is WizMac being actively developed still? Would there be any chance of an updated version that will run on OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion)?

Just a thought, could it be a dynamic channel management issue - a mux change or something and the timer for a temporarily-missing channel gets lost? Just putting the idea out there, I have DCM turned off as we have marginal signal and I've always been suspicious of it. EDIT: Yeah what Ian said. :-)

I don't see how the TV connected by component to the BW can play sound if the audio path is optical digital through the amp, and the amp is switched off? Anyway, I looked at the specs of the TX-SR309 and it features "Audio Return Channel". I'd be trying to make sure that feature is OFF in...

Ok so I have narrowed it down a bit. If I set the BW audio format to 'Passthrough', I get no audio from the TV speakers when the amp is off. If I set it to '2ch', I get audio from the TV speakers when the amp is off. This is less than desirable as I would then be feeding the amp (when it's on) with ...
