The Vu+ doesn't run Beyonwiz firmware (and probably never will). It runs a variety of different enigma2-based firmware images that are all different from each other and from the Beyonwiz firmware. Wasn't suggesting to run Beyonwiz Firmware on the Vu+ but I thought the two are related by the enigma2...

Found a multi remote that's pretty good that's not a Logitech, Sofabaton. Easy to program via an App on your phone and bluetooth.

Sofabaton works well. Easy to program via a phone app (V2 in the list plus can do manual learning if needed).

Ok reporting back on what worked after trying a million different things. Changing Samba to 1 from default fixed my problem. Hope your unit turns up...we don't exactly have many options for PVRs anymore. Everyone is 'streaming' which isn't as good

I don't think I'm setting mine up correctly.

Periodically, the timeshift stops working and I have to reinitialise the card again to get timeshift working. ie it's like it gets full and isn't clearing prior timeshift recordings.

Any suggestions?

I edit on my PC directly off the Wiz, easier.

I use https://www.videoredo.com/en/index.htm which looks budget but it's easy to use and fast. Only re-encodes frames at the edit, otherwise it's a copy of the rest of the video.

There are free options that work but I found this the easiest
