Sometime ago there was a discussion on a suitable unit available in the UK or perhaps Germany! Couldn’t find it, coukd someone who knows the reference let me know as my V2 is starting to show its age and I might import one.

V2: Anyway to turn off the blinking Ethernet LED?
We recently changed the decor of the living room from a very dark charcoal to a much lighter grey. We now have a reflected and annoying blinking light from the back of the unit. On my Zidoo there is a menu item to turn it off, had a look at the menus in the BW but couldn’t find any setting.

For starters to eliminate where the problem may be - turn off CEC in the BW - observe action, if still persists turn off CEC in the TV...... and cross your fingers! Personally I think CEC is the work of the devil! I've long resigned my self not to use it at all, nothing but problems and am happy to ...

Just pop the IP address of your V2 into a web browser. As an example this is mine
http://192.168.1.xxx/# where xxx is the last numbers of your address - this brings up OpenWebIf

Thanks it’s SMB and I don’t use wifi for any connected device other than visiting iPhones etc. . All my stuff is Ethernet. The zidoo remote is both Bluetooth and wireless.
PS The Zidoo doesn’t require passwords or user names so it was weird. Basically plug anything into it and it’s there.

I'm not silly enough to argue the point, you know your stuff, but it's a 65" Q70 series Samsung which isn't that old, and it plays HDR fine via the other devices, so I'm not sure why the U4 or V2 would be causing a problem. The settings are pretty basic from Dynamic, through to natural, none o...
