Hi, I'll admit I am not a BW U4 expert by any means, but it may be worth looking at the USB WIFI dongles/adaptors. I would check to see if 1. They the same brand and model as each other 2. Hi Wozza,
no worries. I only pointed this out because you mentioned the $95k warranty.
Slightly envious of your U4 and the 4k TV purchase Hope it all works well.

Hi Wozza, not trying to rain on your purchase, but I always like to go over the warranty of products just to see if there are any gotcha's. Hi all, well one aspect of using an SSD in a PVR which I do not think has been covered yet is if the underlying OS the PVR uses implements TRIM or not. Before TRIM support was added, the write speeds of SSDs dropped quite significantly as the disk usage increased. When the SSD was almost full it was...

Hi all, given the issues around shingle based hdd's, and in doing some more reading on them, I came across this paper which some of you may find interesting. In upgrading to Yosemite (different from a new installation, perhaps), FileVault stayed off. Not 100% sure, I would have to speak to the various devops who did this. Hi, I'm not sure what the T3 does when it sees a filesystem it is not familiar with. I would be surprised if it automatically reformats it, but you never know. you would be hard pressed to see any significant difference between the OE Alliance E2 image and the T3's image. Well I wouldn't say it's a beast next to the T3, the T3 is still a good PVR. Perhaps ask BW if the demux limit can be increased? To be honest, 9 demux's is an overkill in Oz, might be more of an issue in Europe where this box is sold mostly.

I'd definitely be curious about the additional tuner capability. Hi all,
although I am 99% what the answer to this question is ( I assume all attention is squarely on the T3 now) , I have not seen any official announcement from BW on the status of the DP series. So have the DP series been officially retired with no further development/bug fixes?
