Re: Creating hard link to timeshift file file failed,
You'll want to run a checkdisk over it. Did you say you plugged it directly into a Windows machine? Is the disk formatted as NTFS? If so, you should probably do the checkdisk from the Windows machine. CHKDSK from my windows PC removed the files, i returned Timeshift to normal directory and was able...

Re: Creating hard link to timeshift file file failed,
Thanks for the ideas. I disabled timeshift. Zapped to a new channel and rebooted. When I try to delete the files afterwards, the V2 does some sort of soft crash and quickly restarts. I tried using a W10 laptop to delete the timeshift files without the V2 and it wouldn’t let me. I then set the timesh...

Creating hard link to timeshift file file failed,
Hi
We filled our V2 hdd yesterday. After making some space I am now getting an error.
*message box contents*
Creating hard link to timeshift file failed!
The file system used for timeshift must support hardlinks
/media/hdd/timeshift/
[errno 17] File exists
Any ideas please?

That’s a helpful reminder too. Thanks Paul.
I always use a very old Corsair 1GB stick... going back to DP Beyonwizes . I’ll take a different one back as well.
However, I did try it without my USB plugged in so it’s not main problem.

Re: New TV, my EPG is clipped at the edges
Your TV does have the ability to turn off overscan, all recent TVs will. On a Samsung you need to change the picture aspect ratio until is it set to "Just Scan", or "Per-Pixel" or whatever they call it these days. Thank you! Your answer helped me find the ‘fit to screen’ setting...

Hi Just replaced my 2007 pioneer plasma monitor with a 65 inch Samsung NU8000. My pioneer didn’t have an overscan feature that worked properly so I adjusted the OSD size in the T3. I’m surprised that my brand new tv also suffers the same sort of thing and doesn’t seem to have an overscan function at...

Deep Standby is more or less a reboot. I've found with my old plasma that the sequence I turn it and the beyonwiz and the amp on, makes a difference.
