Re: Storm wounded my T4 - Looking to replace it.
When you say it "makes the HDMI output glitchy", and that "it flickers", is it flickering constantly - or only during lightning strikes? Lightning produces RF interference, which is definitely capable of interfering with either the input signal (from the antenna), or the signal ...

Will arrange it. I've been slow, too slow.
The timing was bang on though. Pre storm: no problems. Post storm: glitchy output. Literally to the day.
Cheers.

Fetch Mighty vs IceBox - opinions?
Hi guys, I'm going to send my T4 off for repair to NASA, and i'm also looking for a V2. I've had Beyonwiz since DP-P2 :) In fact, my dad still has it (been repaired twice i think). Anyway, i've been looking through the forum and Whirlpool i see mentions of FetchBox Mighty and the IceBox. I don't per...

Storm wounded my T4 - Looking to replace it.
Hiya, The storm makes the HDMI output glitchy. It flickers. I first thought it was the AVR, but i have the Chromecast in the AVR and there's no such behaviour. BluRay player similarly seems ok. Assuming insurance comes through (there were other things that died too), i'll be looking to replace it. I...

Many years ago, i had a DP-P2 which i could use to record from VCR. I no longer have that device and i was wondering if the device i bought to replace it - a T4 can do the job?

Hehe, i haven't been here for ages. My parents are still using the DP-P2 i got repaired a few years ago. I have a T4, and to be honest, my parents would be completely lost in it's interface. I'M largely lost with it. Disappointing the V2 doesn't have room for even a 2.5" HDD inside. That would ...

DP-P2 Unusual problem. Works but doesn't
Hiya. My DP-P2 has been humming along nicely and today it played up. I turned it on and the blue disc wasn't there, but the other LCD showed a station. And sure enough SBS is working through it to the TV. Then the LCD went blank, but the TV still works. But the unit doesn't respond to any input at a...

Re: T4: DLNA has old information - how to refresh?
Short answer is to not use DLNA if you can ever help it. It is a rubbish protocol and just gets in the way. Media often shows up as .m3u files when a DLNA server and client can't agree on how to handle files properly. You should connect to your NAS by mounting the media share on your T4 using Samba...

My understanding is the hardware simply isn't capable of it so the best we can hope for with this generation of Wizzes is a check to stop jamming up the whole system. I plan to have a NAS or server do the gruntwork. Here's a good broad overview of the codec: http://www.techspot.com/article/1131-hevc...

I either owned or had access to pretty much every Amiga ever built, starting with the 256k NTSC only A1000.
