The ABC has indeed played with Audio Description services in the past. They would tend to add an extra audio mux to the feed when it suited them. I haven't seen them do it recently.

Different audio channel selected when live versus when in player.

But SBS is the only one doing multiple audio channels, the Mpeg is much louder than the AAC.

46Mb/s x 60,000 = 2.6Tb/s

The main input filter capacitor experiences extreme high frequency ripple current as well as the savagery of the supply mains voltage spikes.

Make sure you use only the best quality brands for this component.

One more thing to try.
  • Remove the microSD card.
  • Power the V2 on.
  • When up and ready insert the microSD.
  • Retrieve and post /var/log/messages file.

Hacky idea, add a local url to the bouquet, the local url is a "cgi" that calculates the appropriate true url and issues it in a 302 redirect (temporary move). Adding additional handlers to the inbuilt webserver is trivial.

A work around is to schedule a 1 minute recording to the NAS a few minutes before the real recording. This will poke the NAS and have it wake up, so when the real recording starts the NAS is ready. Not keen on the flattening idea. :twisted:

A simple touch on the directory entry after the mv would bump the modified date/time for purging. :idea:

Also there is the delete a folder of the same name as one already in the trash purging that one inconvenience. :cry:

If the usb/sd/disk is already formatted as something the BW can mount, then it will just mount it.

If the usb/sd/disk is unformatted AND is the only device then the setup wizard will offer to format the device as the hdd.

Yes, you have to force the PC to output stereo 16bit pcm audio.

How you achieve that depends on the PC. Maybe try selecting head phones output.

Even the excellent Panasonic caps Warkus uses and recommends only have a rated life of about 20000 hours at their maximum 105C temperature. Almost certainly the power supply. With the hard disk disconnected, there is less load so the power supply may come closer to tolerance, but is obviously still not making the grade. Enigma timeshift buffers are sliced on change of the now/next data.

To access other buffers use next/prev buttons to change.
