Thanks for the comments about remotes.
Is there any point doing an online order on the Beyonwiz website or are they completely non-functioning?
Any advice on how to buy a PVR?

Replacement remote? Replacement PVR??
I’ve been a Wiz user since the first week the DP-S1 was released. I’m addicted to ad skipping and don’t like to consider any alternative for viewing. My T3 remote is on its last legs and my T3 is showing signs of ageing despite having a voltage regulator replaced under warranty and surviving me repl...

Wiz roadmap
Camera makers will often produce a lens roadmap indicating plans for future releases to wet their customers appetites and generally keep everyone happy. I've been a long-time Wiz user but haven' visited the forums recently. I bought a DP-1 and it was soon superseded. I replaced it with a T3 which wa...

Re: Content on one T2 played on another T2
Thanks for the prompt response. I hadn't considered the necessary connectivity speed.
My source wiz would be connected via a Telstra cable service that is limited to 1 Mbps uploads - so it sounds like that would not work for streaming content.

Re: Content on one T2 played on another T2
A somewhat related question. Can I play the content of one T or U series on another connected via the internet? I presume that I'd need to set up my router to allow one wiz to be identified with an IP address visible on the broader internet and then connect the other wiz to that IP address. Would th...

Re: Beyonwiz T3 UI becomes unresponsive
Could my problem be due to accidentally editing the Terrestrial TV bouquet? If you have accidentally edited that bouquet, then doing a full manual scan with clear (TWICE) should fix that up. I tried this but it made no difference although one of the channels in my Favourites List became "N/A&q...

It seems strange to me that the picture display depends on the transparency of the OSD.
I would have thought that display of a media file would be independant of the OSD.
Thanks for the information.

The photo viewer applies the same OSD transparency as do all of the screens so if your OSD transparency in Setup>AV setup>OSD position is less than 255 then you will see what is behind. Re: Retrieving your recordings across the LAN from a T4
I'm no expert but the T4 should appear on your network as a unix machine. The recordings are stored in a directory with 5 files per recording, 4 of which have metadata such as bookmarks. I've copied or moved the largest file, which contains the recording, across the network without problems. There a...

My T3 can display a folder of photos from my NAS but I can't see how to remove the background image (and sound unless I mute it). Having tried automtimers for a day, the things I'll miss with IceTV are: easy set up - one click to record a series of a certain program - autotimers seem to have lots of settings over a few pages no repeats - I'll repeat that, no repeats. Yes, you can set up certain filters to exclude repeats (see...
