My EPG is displaying programs more than once. Is there a good obvious reason for this?

I pressed the STB button, and the remote works now. Thanks everyone for your help.

Confirmed: batteries are good - swapped with 2nd pair tested, and swapped back to original pair, and tested again
Confirmed: coloured light present - checked into phone camera
