Re: AutoTimers suddenly gone haywire on U4 (latest beta)

To me this suggests there wasn't an EPG entry for "Alone" for the evening of the 21st, because that timeslot was occupied by an X-Files episode, which had a generated timer (at the time) - {873}< 30.440> [RecordTimer] Record RecordTimerEntry(name=The X-Files, begin=Tue Sep 21 20:20:00 202...

Re: AutoTimers suddenly gone haywire on U4 (latest beta)

There are 3 x X-Files now on 21/9 afternoon; but only 2 in your timers listing plus the 1 in the evening. That evening event has now has been replaced with "Alone" it would appear. Ahh, you may have inadvertently hit upon where that timer was created! There are actually 3 X-Files events o...

I never use OpenWebif (I only used it above to do the AuoTimer preview, as I don't think there's any way to do that on the box itself). There is. It's even called "Preview". You'll find it descrbed in the FAQ - "A quick guide to Beyonwiz T series AutoTimers" . Yep, you're right....

Are you creating all these problems using OpenWebif? My guess would be that the normal PVR user interface only ever calls the underlying API with a fairly sane set of arguments that won't cause issues. On the other hand, it looks like OpenWebif does some unexpected stuff and may be using the same u...

AutoTimers suddenly gone haywire on U4 (latest beta)

A day or so ago I tried to add a new AutoTimer, but the results screen showed that there were 2 conflicts (for the 2 timers that should have been added). There were definitely no actual conflicts, so I played around with the AutoTimer settings a bit (exact match, specific bouquets/services etc), but...

It's already there. Use File Commander to view /etc/e2-git.log to see changes to enigma2 and /etc/oe-git.log to see changes to the underlying operating system. I've attempted to do that in the past in the form of forum posts, but it's quite hard. You're welcome to try. Add a user-visible changelog

It would be super helpful to add some type of changelog that is made available to users (i.e. within the GUI) when an update occurs. I don't think it needs to be actively shown to users when an update occurs, but rather can just be accessed from the menu. Or perhaps a 10-second dialog is shown after...

To be perfectly honest, I'd be entirely happy if there was an option to turn off all of that information from the front panel display. As far as O() speed numbers go, flushing the cache then filling it isn't any faster than just re-filling the cache, though it may be a little faster, because the fill from empty should never have to delete any entries, and deleting all the entries in bulk may be faster than deleting them one at a t...

There isn't a point for its use on Beyonwizes and for Australian conditions (either with the broadcast EPG or with IceTV).
