Re: Storm wounded my T4 - Looking to replace it.

Hiya, The storm makes the HDMI output glitchy. It flickers. I first thought it was the AVR, but i have the Chromecast in the AVR and there's no such behaviour. BluRay player similarly seems ok. Assuming insurance comes through (there were other things that died too), i'll be looking to replace it. ...

1. The Ice TV Box isn't too bad for what it is, but it *IS* expensive considering they packed so much in a such a small box with a fairly low powered CPU, but they offer detailed notes on building your own. The disadvantage: Immature software, but development is ongoing within IceTV (as distinct from Beyonwiz, ...

Two options seem to be gaining traction around here, in recent times. The VU+ DUO 4k or DUO2 have been mentioned in a few posts. Apparently you will need to order this from World of Satellite, in the UK. There's a bit more information on it in this thread: https://beyonwiz.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php...

I turned it off & on again, using the power switch at the back of the T2. The Beyonwiz circle showed briefly on the screen, then it went blank again (and the TV is reporting No Signal). It may have "lost" the firmware - try a USB firmware flash. Use the "20211010" image, not...

Re: Dead T2?

The disk is a 2.5" HDD. I don't have a caddy for testing it outside, and hence no way of running a disk check (unless the Wiz can do that for me).

What I can do is scavenge the HDD out of my other dead Wiz, which I'm reasonably certain is still functional (the HDD, that is).

Re: Seeking Advice - Connecting a 4KTV via network to a T4

If you have a SMART TV running on Android TV, then you should be able to install Kodi. You can then setup Kodi to link to your T4 as a source, and run from there. Kodi has no problems with .ts files. However, the ability to skip is limited - you need a remote control which can act as an air mouse, a...
