Re: Autotimer description search behaviour - changed?

Thank you both *SO* much for your testing. Grumpy_Geoff - you have highlighted to me what is different. Unlike you, I had not been setting Bouquets. Once I selected to use Bouquets, my search worked. I guess that without setting a scope for the search the default is to search nothing(?) The autotime...

Re: Autotimer description search behaviour - changed?

Thanks for doing this testing for me, Peter. That is the behaviour that I would expect and have seen in the past. My upgrade to beyonwiz 17.5.20180417 (17.5-477-g41eefa7) appeared to go through straightforward enough, but perhaps something went awry somewhere along the line which has changed this be...

Re: Autotimer description search behaviour - changed?

I did exactly the same test, and get the same result. As you saw, the word "Czech" appears in the description (whether it be long or short) and yet if I create an autotimer based on description match, it does not create a timer for this event. This SBS Radio 2 event is the one that I expec...

Re: Autotimer description search behaviour - changed?

I've enabled debug logging and rebooted the Beyonwiz. Now I have a /etc/enigma2/epg.dat file (and I can see that it has the text from the EPG stored in it) and I have some logging to see that it is indeed searching for the autotimers.

I'll persist with this, perhaps all it needed was a reboot.

Re: Autotimer description search behaviour - changed?

So far I've seen the same behaviour across the board with my other autotimers as well. I just gave that "Czech" one as an example. Now... Interestingly, I don't have anything at /etc/enigma2/epg so this sent me to look at my EPG settings through OpenWebif. My cache location is "Intern...

Re: Autotimer description search behaviour - changed?

Do we know where the EPG data is stored on the Beyonwiz filesystem? Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, but I wondered if maybe it was being stored using a character encoding method that isn't compatible with Pythons string matching routine... ...or else I've just had a brain fade and missed out on...

Re: Autotimer description search behaviour - changed?

Thanks guys. Yes, I was doing a Description search, and it was this which did not find any matches. Elaborating on my example, SBS radio has a program simply titled "Czech" with the description starting like "Stay connected in Czech to Australian news and...". This program was no...

Autotimer description search behaviour - changed?

Since upgrading my T4 firmware from 16.1 to 17.5 I am having some difficulty setting up my autotimers as I had them previously. I'm sure that I must have just overlooked a setting somewhere, but I think that I need to call on some assistance. Apologies if this has been answered somewhere already, I ...

Re: Additional timer status - "skipped"

By any chance do you remember if the T4 had some form of 'online update available' message displayed on the front panel when you went to turn it on to look for those recordings? I'm pretty certain that this wasn't the case - there was no 'online update available' message displayed. Whenever I see t...

Additional timer status - "skipped"

Are there any timer statuses (statii?) other than just "waiting" and "finished"? I believe that I was one of those people who was recently caught out by a T4 which wouldn't turn on to record some of my preset timers. (Thanks, Beyonwiz, you RUINED Christmas!) :P I've just done the...
