Hey fosss, Autotimer fan here: autotimers get simpler and quicker in GUI once you setup your autotimer defaults to suit your regular preferred settings. This mornings online update for T4 has fixed all icons just fine for the Newcastle broadcast area, even the channels I don't use (non favs). Thanks for the effort. Left/right arrows not working in Media list. Up/down not working in the usual suspects. Time for another reboot I had left/right not work in media list on T4 on last firmware once. T2, T3 and T4s all use specific firmware not the same firmware file - that matches each model.

I don't have a T2 rather T3/T4 but if you either: Connect via your phone/web browser you'll either see a web interface (standby) or no web interface (deep standby/off). Scan your network from your phone you'll see no response from the T2's IP address and it will appear offline if it's in deep standb...

ghines To get you back to the home directory you can program one of the coloured buttons using the setting menu when in the movie list. Also if you have a NAS of the right model/firmware then some of them allow auto convert of video files in the background in certain folders (qnaps) or some do hardware transcoding (synology)

Epg search doesn't seem to search description so we're forced to use auto timers to search epg items except for random items that do coincidentally have 'movie' in the description.

From T2 vs T4 angle, I went from T3 to T4 as main recording box.

With 30 auto timers setup I no longer have to worry about conflicting timers due to lack of tuners available and that means I can add 20-30 minutes padding at each end of the recording as a side benefit too (if I have too).

Go the T4.

My 2.5" HDD in the T4 is mounted on the side farthest away from the power supply, towards the centre of the box (off centre in the hdd bay).

Cable length is fine either side or centred.

I just ran my cabling underneath the mount & hdd out of the way.

Autofs works best IMHO. I can restart either T3 or T4 or NAS and the autofs mounts just reconnect seemlessly.
