Determining which Beyonwiz model you have
- All recent Beyonwiz models have their model number printed on the front of the top cover.
- The older DP-S1 model has it's model number printed on the DVD tray.
- On all models, the model number is also printed on the back panel.
- The model number is also displayed at the start of the firmware version in the Firmware Information menu.
Firmware Upgrade Procedure
- Scroll down this page to the section for your Beyonwiz model and *click on the link to the latest listed firmware version for your model (* Control-click, or Right-click, if using Safari web browser).
- Then select Save, Save As, Save Linked File or Download Linked File etc. and save the firmware to a location on your PC (Desktop, Documents etc. or you can save it directly to a USB memory stick). If using Safari web browser select "Don't append .txt".
- Follow the steps in this How To Upgrade the Firmware Guide
- Note: When turning your Beyonwiz on after the firmware upgrade you may be asked to perform a Full Service Scan.
Factory Reset Procedure
- If your Beyonwiz misbehaves you should reset it to Factory Settings, then rescan the channels and setup your Beyonwiz with your preferred settings.
- To Reset, press SETUP then go to the System menu, select Initialize, press OK, select Factory Setting, press OK then answer Yes.
- If you lose the picture to your TV after a Factory Reset, press and release the TV-OUT button on your Beyonwiz remote control and then wait 4 seconds. If there is still no picture, repeat the press and release of the TV-OUT button, while waiting 4 seconds between each attempt. Once the correct output is found you may be asked to confirm the change - you must select Yes and press OK before the picture reverts back to the previous setting.
Note: Via the TV-OUT button there are 10 TV-OUT settings in total.
If you have any problems during or after the Upgrade or Factory Reset procedures please call 02 9603 1822 and press 3 for support.

DP-P2 1TB
IMPORTANT! For the DP-P2 model you must use the correct firmware series (1.05 or 1.07) depending on the serial number.
For older DP-P2s with serial numbers below 1032098000000 you should use 01.05.xxx versions of firmware.
For newer DP-P2s with serial numbers above 1032098000000 you MUST use 01.07.xxx versions of firmware.
NOTES: The serial numbers are hexadecimal. i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, F
Installing 01.05.xxx series firmware on a late model DP-P2 will result in the unit failing to start (which is only recoverable via an Ethernet network and a Windows XP PC).
